CornCobs and Cowboys

We had a little bit of Husker Fever on our hands last week.
The Frum's gave Nebraska a short but sweet visit, and it was well worth the 28 hour round trip...
Daddy Bond took Joseph Frum and the Mrs. out for a little country fishing. Of course Rachel caught the most fish :) (Ok Joe and I tied) This was one of the most exciting parts of our visit, and really brought me back to my Nebraska roots. Fishing with Dad! Of course I could never catch a monster like this one again...
 then and now...
We did get to surprise the little brother. Although he was in school for the most part of our visit we had a little Settlers of Catan competivness going on around the kitchen table in the evenings. Owen and I also took Joe to Syracuse, NE for his first Dairy Chef experience. Let's just say...since we've been back in Utah we have had to lay off the food. Boy was it good :)
We also gave Owen's eyebrow's a little attention ;) Here is a before and after:
 WHAT A STUD! :)

Another great surprise of our trip was my Best Friend Amanda who is recently ENGAGED drove 6 hours from Arkansas to see us :) I got to see her in her gorgeous wedding dress, and had fun being our extra talkative wonderfully goofy selves. I hadnt seen her in 2 years!! Such fun memories!
Mama Bond also came to see "THE" dress. I was having flashbacks of the all the wild fun we had with our Mama's Bond and Worm :)

Seeing my dear Grandpa and Grandma Bond was also a highlight. They literally had NO idea we were coming.

It was a sweet surprise and the hugs and stories were extra good that general conference Sunday.
It was so good to see Grandma doing so much better than the last time we were out for a visit.

Seeing my dear family and remembering my roots and where I came from...then reflecting on who I am today because of all the wonderful shaping experiences life has thrown at me has made me truly grateful for these special people in my life.
One of my favorite quotes is, "Families are like fudge...mostly sweet with a few nuts" :)
Embrace where you came FRUM and life will be much sweeter!

Sunny Days

The sister and her man decided to drop by...
It was so fun to see them, it had sure been a while. Joe and I decided it would be fun to take them to fat cats. We bowled the night away full of PF CHANGS.  Surprisingly, little miss Rebecca Violet managed to double bag some strikes at the end of the game.  The Robison gang beat the Frum's hands down! After a few interesting pictures at the photo booth, we were off to grab the most amazing cake
Lucky enough, we got it for free! Magleby's was closed early for pioneer day, so when the nice server (who we will keep anonymous) saw that we had family in town all the way from Idaho Falls, they decided we could keep the treat on the house. :)
And Boy was it GOOD.
Next day we were off to hereFor lots of fun in the sun and crazy tan lines. Screamin and laughing down the slides, splashin' on the tubes, and just relaxing on the lazy river. Dont you just LOVE summer days with the people who matter most?

Flavor of the Week

White Chili Soup

This delicious chili has been a hit every time we have our friends over for dinner! We had it for the first time at the Diamond's on New Year's and fell in love. The perfect blend of spicy meets creamy. It's our fave! Toast some tortilla chips and serve with spicy guac on the side for a tasty appetizer, then serve this cheesy chicken soup classic for a meal your taste buds will never forget!

-1 can Chicken Broth
-2 can Mild Diced or Chopped Green Chilies
-1 tsp Salt
-1 Tsp Cumin
-1 Tsp Oregano
-1/4 Tsp Cayenne Pepper

Put in the Crock Pot on Low for 4-5 hours
        JUST BEFORE SERVING ADD:

Frum This Moment On

The Frum Family
established:

June 20th, 2009

Once upon a time a handsome prince married a beautiful princess...
and they LIVE happy ever after...

-Our Wedding Day was not only the most important day of our lives, but it was also extremely unique and special. We got engaged March 15th, 2009...but even up to the month of June hadn't set a specific date because we were trying to arrange the wedding around a time and place that both sides of our family could be there. This was extremely difficult, especially because we had immediate family in Utah, Washington, Idaho, and Nebraska. Joe still hadn't met all of my family so we decided to take a surprise visit to Nebraska in June right after I graduated my Master Esthetics course. On the way there, Jeri my mother in law text us and said that she and Alan (Joe's father) would come out to Nebraska if we decided to get married while we were out there. (So we blame her ;) ) The idea sounded like a possibility because we knew my parents wouldn't be able to take time off for a wedding in the near future, and we didn't want to wait any longer. SOOOO we planned our wedding in a week! AND we wouldn't have done it any other way. Everything turned out just the way it was supposed to! Our flowers were gorgeous, our cake not only was beautiful and lovingly made but it tasted amazing! Joe found his tux and he looked SO handsome. MY DRESS I had to choose between 3 that I loved. The one I chose didn't need ANY alterations which is unheard of especially because the dress was made for someone that is 5'7 and a size 2. We didn't have time to send invitations so we made as many phone calls, and sent out invites over the internet! haha. The amazing thing is there were no RSVP's but there was just the amount of close family and friends in attendance as there were chairs not one less, and not one more. The only thing that really changed was the day and location. Bishop Lucas who was marrying us couldn't perform the ceremony on Sunday at the Sunken Gardens, so we changed the day to Saturday at an LDS chapel in Lincoln. The ceremony was perfect. There was so much love and sacrifice for those who came to witness our special day. The words spoken by Bishop Lucas were so tender and moving. It was a whirlwind. Joe and I felt as if we had an out of body experience. We hadn't ever felt something quite like that in our lives! There was so much love and excitement, and suprisingly very relaxing and stress free. AND...a some day Joe and I will be sealed in the Winter Quarters Nebraska Temple for time and all eternity!! We feel so blessed to have started our lives together.

~We are two peas in a pod and head over heels in love~
ENJOY some of the pics from our special day!! :)

Love,
